How it works

1. Cast Splash Portal by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Scholar of the Ages and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Scholar of the Ages trigger.
4. Resolve the Scholar of the Ages trigger, returning Splash Portal from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Splash Portal.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Scholar of the Ages and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This delightful looping engine relies on repeatedly blinking Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to churn your board state into a swirling vortex of value. By casting Splash Portal to exile and return Abdel Adrian, you trigger Scholar of the Ages to continuously pluck that very same instant from your graveyard right back to your hand. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian's entrance scoops up your mana-producing permanents and spits them back out to pay for future castings, leaving behind an army of Soldier tokens to swarm the board.
