How it works

1. Cast Scrollshift by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Eternal Witness and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Eternal Witness trigger.
4. Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning Scrollshift from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Scrollshift.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Eternal Witness and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward into a relentless blink engine powered by Scrollshift. When Scrollshift exiles and returns Abdel Adrian, his entry trigger swallows up Eternal Witness alongside your mana-producing permanents, while Eternal Witness happily fishes Scrollshift right back out of your graveyard to hand. Because Abdel Adrian replaces them seamlessly every iteration, you can continually tap those mana sources while holding priority to pay for the next Scrollshift, generating an unstoppable cascade of creature tokens and card draw.
