How it works

1. Cast Against All Odds by paying its mana cost, blinking Abdel Adrian.
2. Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, returning Returned Pastcaller and all other cards that were exiled with it to the battlefield.
3. Abdel Adrian and Returned Pastcaller trigger.
4. Resolve the Returned Pastcaller trigger, returning Against All Odds from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Holding priority, activate any number of nonland permanents you control by tapping them, adding at least enough mana to cast Against All Odds.
6. Resolve the Abdel Adrian trigger, exiling Returned Pastcaller and the mana-producing permanents until Abdel Adrian leaves the battlefield, and creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token for each permanent exiled this way.
7. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recursive value, centering around Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward to continuously reset the battlefield and fuel an unstoppable engine. By casting Against All Odds to blink Abdel Adrian, you trigger its enter-the-battlefield ability alongside Returned Pastcaller's recursive trigger, which conveniently plucks Against All Odds right back out of your graveyard and into your hand. Meanwhile, Abdel Adrian's ability quietly hoards your other mana-producing permanents and spits out a growing army of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens with every iteration.
