How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This cunning loop hinges on a self-sustaining recursion engine where Technomancer enters the battlefield to pull Phyrexian Metamorph right back out of your graveyard as another copy of Technomancer. Because Phyrexian Metamorph can enter as a copy of any artifact or creature and becomes an artifact itself, it seamlessly steps into Technomancer's shoes to trigger the exact same resurrection effect over and over. By using Altar of Dementia as the sacrifice outlet to bin the Metamorph in response to its own trigger, you continuously churn through your deck while milling opponents out entirely.
