How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This intricate loop relies on Shilgengar, Sire of Famine sitting quietly on the battlefield, waiting to sacrifice your artifacts and creatures for Blood tokens. When you cast Technomancer, its entry trigger lets you pull Phyrexian Metamorph right back out of your graveyard as a fresh copy of Technomancer. By sacrificing that Metamorph to Shilgengar's ability while its own enter-the-battlefield trigger is still on the stack, you can endlessly loop the cloning process to generate infinite sacrifices, blood tokens, and mill your entire library.
