How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Phyrexian Metamorph enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Phyrexian Metamorph.
- Resolve the Phyrexian Metamorph trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Phyrexian Metamorph from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop revolves around Technomancer's ability to pull back cheap artifact creatures from the graveyard upon entry, which we exploit by having Phyrexian Metamorph enter as a copy of it. Because Phyrexian Metamorph hits the battlefield and immediately triggers its own copy-entry ability, we can respond to that trigger by feeding it to Phantom Train's sacrifice activation. Once Phantom Train turns the Metamorph into a Spirit artifact creature in the graveyard, the fresh Technomancer copy trigger successfully recurs it right back to the field. Repeating this cycle lets you churn through your deck with endless artifact entries, exits, and sacrifices while steadily growing Phantom Train's power.
