How it works

1. Declare any non-Gnome creature you control as an attacker.
2. Anim Pakal triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on itself, then creating at least five 1/1 Gnome artifact creature tokens that are tapped and attacking.
3. Move to your postcombat main phase.
4. Activate Thermopod's second ability five times by saacrificing five Gnomes, adding .
5. Activate Aggravated Assault by paying 3, causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
6. Repeat.

This explosive loop lets you cycle through endless combat phases by turning the mechanical output of your board into a renewable engine. It all starts when Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon triggers upon attacking to flood the battlefield with a growing army of Gnome tokens, fueled exponentially by the +1/+1 counters that accumulate on her. Once those attackers step back from combat into your postcombat main phase, you feed five of those newly minted Gnomes to Thermopod, cashing them in for the red mana you need. Finally, that mana directly funds Aggravated Assault to untap your creatures and grant you an entirely new combat phase, allowing Anim Pakal to swing again and restart the cycle.
