How it works

1. Deal combat damage to an opponent that controls five or more artifacts using Cavern-Hoard Dragon.
2. Cavern-Hoard Dragon triggers, creating at least five Treasure tokens.
3. Move to your postcombat main phase.
4. Activate five Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 3.
5. Activate Aggravated Assault by paying 3, untapping all creatures you control and causing you to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
6. Repeat until no opponent controls five or more artifacts.

This explosive combination turns an opponent's own hoarded artifacts into your ultimate advantage, hinging entirely on the synergy between Cavern-Hoard Dragon and Aggravated Assault. Because the Dragon's mana cost scales down with their artifact count, it arrives cheaply to fly over defenses and deal heavy combat damage, which in turn triggers its ability to flood your board with a wave of Treasure tokens. Those very Treasures provide the exact mana needed to activate Aggravated Assault, untapping the Dragon for a brand-new combat phase and repeating the cycle until that opponent's defenses—and life total—are completely obliterated.
