How it works

1. Declare Firebending Student as an attacker, triggering its ability, adding an amount of equal to its power.
2. Move to your postcombat main phase. You will not lose the mana due to Ashling.
3. Activate Aggravated Assault by paying 3, causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
4. Repeat.

This explosive combination transforms Firebending Student into a massive red mana generator the moment it attacks, thanks to its Firebending ability scaling directly with its power. To prevent that precious combat mana from evaporating as phases end, Ashling, Flame Dancer steps in with her passive ability to let you bank your unspent red mana indefinitely. Finally, Aggravated Assault harnesses that accumulated wealth to repeatedly untap your creatures and grant you endless additional combat phases, creating a self-sustaining loop that loops right back into attacking with a bigger and bigger Firebending Student.
