How it works
- Declare a creature as an attacker, triggering Avatar Roku, adding six .
- Move to your postcombat main phase. You will not lose the mana due to Ashling.
- Activate Aggravated Assault by paying 3, causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
- Repeat.
This explosive loop is fueled by Avatar Roku, Firebender, whose triggered ability generates a massive surge of six red mana whenever any player simply declares an attack. While Avatar Roku naturally protects this mana through the combat steps, Ashling, Flame Dancer ensures you never lose any unspent red mana as *all* steps and phases end, letting your reserves carry over safely into your postcombat main phase. Once you reach that phase with your mana banked, you channel it directly into Aggravated Assault to untap your creatures and extract an entirely new combat and main phase. Declaring attackers in this fresh combat phase triggers Avatar Roku all over again, creating a self-sustaining cycle that yields infinite combat phases, infinite red mana, and infinitely powerful creatures.
