How it works

1. Cast the artifact by paying 0.
2. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher triggers, earthbending Izzet Boilerworks.
3. Resolve the artifact spell.
4. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Izzet Boilerworks.
5. When Izzet Boilerworks dies, Toph, Hardheaded Teach triggers, returning Izzet Boilerworks from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
6. When Izzet Boilerworks enters, it triggers, returning the artifact cast in step 1 from the battlefield to your hand, as it's a land due to Toph, the First Metalbender.
7. Resolve the Phantom Train ability
8. Repeat.

This loop turns your mana base into a devastating engine by leveraging Toph, the First Metalbender, whose static ability cleverly reclassifies all your nontoken artifacts as lands. With that foundation set, you cast a zero-mana artifact, letting Toph, Hardheaded Teacher trigger its earthbend ability to animate Izzet Boilerworks as a land-creature. You then sacrifice that very same Izzet Boilerworks to power Phantom Train's ability; its death triggers Toph, Hardheaded Teacher to immediately return it to the battlefield, where its own entry trigger bounces the original zero-mana artifact right back to your hand.
