How it works

1. Donate Blightbeetle to an opponent
2. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing the undying creature.
3. When the undying creature dies, its undying ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield without a +1/+1 counter on it due to Blightbeetle.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This delightfully twisted loop uses Shilgengar, Sire of Famine as the engine to repeatedly sacrifice an undying creature for value, generating an endless stream of Blood tokens and death triggers. The true mastermind here is Blim, Comedic Genius, whose combat damage trigger cleanly gifts your Blightbeetle across the table to an opponent. Once that Blightbeetle is under your opponent's control, its static ability prevents +1/+1 counters from being placed on their creatures—which conveniently bypasses the restriction that would normally stop an undying creature from returning to the battlefield over and over again.
