How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Mogis's Warhound, adding R mana.
  2. Mogis's Warhound leaves the battlefield, causing Nyxborn Shieldmate to become an enchantment creature.
  3. Dawn Evangel triggers, returning Mogis's Warhound from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Cast Mogis's Warhound for its bestow cost by paying R mana, attaching it to Nyxborn Shieldmate.
  5. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Nyxborn Shieldmate, adding W mana.
  6. Nyxborn Shieldmate leaves the battlefield, causing Mogis's Warhound to become an enchantment creature.
  7. Dawn Evangel triggers, returning Nyxborn Shieldmate from your graveyard to your hand.
  8. Cast Nyxborn Shieldmate for its bestow cost by paying W mana, attaching it to Mogis's Warhound.
  9. Repeat.
