How it works

  1. Cast Ebondeath from your graveyard by paying 2B manaB mana, reduced by 1 for each +1/+1 counter on Animar.
  2. Geralf's first ability and Animar trigger.
  3. Resolve the Animar trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Geralf trigger, creating a 2/2 Zombie Rogue creature token.
  5. When the Zombie Rogue enters the battlefield, Geralf's second ability triggers, putting a number of +1/+1 counters on the Zombie Rogue equal to the number of other Zombies that entered the battlefield under your control.
  6. When Ebondeath enters the battlefield, Geralf's second ability triggers, putting a number of +1/+1 counters on Ebondeath equal to the number of other Zombies that entered the battlefield under your control.
  7. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Zombie Rogue and Ebondeath, adding B manaB mana.
  8. Repeat.
