How it works

1. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Cultivator of Blades.
2. When Cultivator of Blades dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Cultivator of Blades enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
5. Repeat.

By leveraging the persistent resurrection granted by Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, Shilgengar, Sire of Famine can repeatedly sacrifice Cultivator of Blades to fuel a massive engine of sacrifice and blood generation. Each time Cultivator of Blades returns to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter, its fabricate ability steps in to place a +1/+1 counter on it, instantly neutralizing the -1/-1 counter through state-based actions and keeping the loop fresh. Because Shilgengar converts those sacrifices into Blood tokens—and eventually pays those tokens back out to reanimate your entire graveyard—this setup yields an endless cycle of leaves-the-battlefield, entry, and death triggers.
