How it works

1. Cast the Insect from your hand or graveyard by paying 0 due to Aluren.
2. Activate Thermopod by sacrificing the Insect.
3. When the Insect dies, Zask triggers.
4. Holding priority, cast the Insect from your graveyard by paying 0 due to Aluren.
5. Resolve the Zask ability, causing you to mill two cards.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious loop turns a lowly low-cost Insect into an endless engine of sacrifice and recursion, fueled entirely by the sweeping freedom of Aluren. Because Aluren lets you cast creatures with mana value 3 or less for zero mana and at instant speed, you can continually redeploy your chosen Insect right out of the graveyard where Zask, Skittering Swarmlord has enabled it to be played from. Once the Insect hits the battlefield, you feed it directly to Thermopod to generate red mana and send the creature to the graveyard, which instantly fires off Zask's death trigger to mill your library and keep the cycle spinning.
