How it works

1. Activate Skirk Prospector by sacrificing it.
2. When Skirk Prospector dies, Mortuary and Proper Burial trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Skirk Prospector from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Proper Burial trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Cast Skirk Prospector from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble Goblin into an engine of endless power, fueled entirely by the top of your library. When you use Skirk Prospector to sacrifice itself for red mana, Mortuary catches it on its way to the graveyard and places it right back on top of your library. Meanwhile, Proper Burial capitalizes on the death by restoring the life you spend to cast Skirk Prospector anew from the top of your library via Bolas's Citadel. Together, these artifacts create a self-sustaining cycle that generates infinite mana, life, and storm count without ever needing to draw a card.
