How it works

1. Activate Skirk Prospector by sacrificing it.
2. When Skirk Prospector dies, Mortuary and Falkenrath Noble trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Skirk Prospector from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Falkenrath Noble trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Skirk Prospector from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This loop creates a self-sustaining engine by turning life into mana and recycling your entire deck on the fly. Bolas's Citadel allows you to cast Skirk Prospector directly from the top of your library by paying 1 life instead of its mana cost, letting you bypass traditional card draw. Every time you sacrifice that Skirk Prospector to add red mana, Mortuary instantly catches it on its way to the graveyard and glues it right back onto the top of your library. Meanwhile, Falkenrath Noble watches the carnage unfold, draining your opponents' life totals and padding your own life buffer to ensure you can keep paying Bolas's Citadel's mana value costs indefinitely.
