How it works

1. Activate Skirk Prospector by sacrificing it.
2. When Skirk Prospector dies, Mortuary and Falkenrath Noble trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Skirk Prospector from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Falkenrath Noble trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Skirk Prospector from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Skirk Prospector into a self-sustaining engine by taking advantage of Gwenom, Remorseless, whose ability lets you bypass normal mana costs from the top of your library at the cost of your own life. Each time you sacrifice the Prospector for red mana, Mortuary catches it on its way to the graveyard and neatly stacks it right back on top of your library where Gwenom can cast it again for just 1 life. Meanwhile, Falkenrath Noble watches the endless procession of sacrifices and quietly drains your opponent's life total while padding your own life total, ensuring you never run out of the resource you need to keep casting your Goblin friend over and over.
