How it works

1. Activate Skirk Prospector by sacrificing it.
2. When Skirk Prospector dies, Mortuary and Cruel Celebrant trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Skirk Prospector from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Cruel Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Skirk Prospector from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a simple Goblin into an engine of continuous life drain, powered by the alternative payment method granted by Bolas's Citadel. By sacrificing Skirk Prospector to its own ability, you trigger Mortuary to place it right back on top of your library, while simultaneously feeding Cruel Celebrant's life-draining trigger. You can then recast the Prospector directly from the top of your library using Bolas's Citadel's life-payment ability rather than mana, netting red mana, ticking up your storm count, and draining your opponents out of the game one life at a time.
