How it works

1. Activate Skirk Prospector by sacrificing it.
2. When Skirk Prospector dies, Mortuary and Venerated Stormsinger trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Skirk Prospector from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Venerated Stormsinger trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Skirk Prospector from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This loop relies on an elegant life-payment substitution and a neat trick with library manipulation to keep a creature perpetually flowing. Skirk Prospector provides the initial mana and the sacrifice outlet, but instead of paying its mana cost to recast it, Gwenom, Remorseless lets you cast it straight off the top of your library by paying life instead. Meanwhile, Mortuary intercepts Skirk Prospector as it hits the graveyard and neatly places it right back onto the top of your library just in time for Gwenom's ability. As this endless cycle spins, Venerated Stormsinger sits back and reaps the harvest of every single death, draining your opponents' life totals while padding your own to sustain Gwenom's life-payment cost.
