How it works

1. Activate Skirk Prospector by sacrificing it.
2. When Skirk Prospector dies, Mortuary and Al Bhed Salvagers trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Skirk Prospector from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Al Bhed Salvagers trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and target opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Skirk Prospector from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever feedback loop lets you sacrifice Skirk Prospector for red mana while Al Bhed Salvagers quietly drains your opponent's life total with every death. Thanks to Mortuary, the sacrificed Prospector doesn't stay in the graveyard; it slips right back to the top of your library. That is where Gwenom, Remorseless comes in, turning your library's top card into a playable asset that you can cast by paying life instead of mana.
