How it works

1. Cast Realm-Scorcher Hellkite by paying 4 and sacrificing an additional artifact, enchantment or token.
2. When Realm-Scorcher Hellkite enters the battlefield, it and Miirym triggers.
3. Resolve the Realm-Scorcher Hellkite trigger, adding 2.
4. Resolve the Miirym trigger, creating a token copy of Realm-Scorcher Hellkite.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the nontoken Realm-Scorcher Hellkite, adding CC.
6. When Realm-Scorcher Hellkite dies, Enduring Renewal triggers, returning it to your hand from your graveyard.
7. Repeat.

By bargaining to cast Realm-Scorcher Hellkite, you kickstart an explosive dragon engine that Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm instantly doubles into a nonlegendary copy upon entry. You can then feed either dragon to Ashnod's Altar for colorless mana, which safely bypasses normal graveyard routing thanks to Enduring Renewal immediately bouncing the sacrificed creature right back to your hand. Because Enduring Renewal also forces you to play with your hand revealed, you can seamlessly replay the Hellkite to repeat the loop, generating endless enters-the-battlefield triggers and a towering storm count fueled by the altar's mana.
