How it works

1. Cast Karmic Guide by paying 3.
2. When Karmic Guide enters, it triggers, targeting Sister Hospitaller.
3. Holding priority, activate Thermopod by sacrificing Karmic Guide.
4. Resolve the Karmic Guide ability, returning Sister Hospitaller from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. When Sister Hospitaller enters, it triggers, targeting Karmic Guide.
6. Holding priority, activate Thermopod by sacrificing Sister Hospitaller.
7. Resolve the Sister Hospitaller ability, returning Karmic Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield and causing you to gain 5 life.
8. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop harnesses the recursion engines of Karmic Guide and Sister Hospitaller to constantly pluck one another back from the graveyard. Each time either creature enters the battlefield, its triggered ability targets and retrieves the other, while Thermopod acts as the sacrificial altar that converts this endless cycle into a fountain of infinite red mana, death triggers, and lifegain.
