How it works
Activate up to five lands by tapping them, adding at least 4.
Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Peregrine Drake.
When Peregrine Drake dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, returning Peregrine Drake from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attaching Nim Deathmantle to it.
When Peregrine Drake enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to five lands.
Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability from step 2, causing target player to mill cards equal to Peregrine Drake's power.
Repeat.
If the lands can tap to produce at least 5, this combo nets infinite mana.
This elegant loop hinges on Nim Deathmantle's powerful graveyard trigger, which steps in whenever a nontoken creature bites the dust. By feeding Peregrine Drake to Altar of Dementia, you mill your opponent while funding the Deathmantle's resurrection cost using the very lands the Drake untaps upon its return. As long as your lands can generate at least five mana to cover the revival and leave you ahead, this self-sustaining cycle lets you endlessly loop the Drake's entry and sacrifice to mill your opponent out of the game entirely.
