The Legend of Kuruk // Avatar Kuruk + Spark Double + Fortune, Loyal Steed
How it works
- Activate Spark Double using Avatar Kuruk's ability by paying 20 minus 1 for each creature and/or artifact you can tap while activating it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
- Activate Fortune's saddle ability by tapping Spark Double, causing Fortune to become saddled until end of turn.
- Declare Fortune as an attacker. At end of combat, Fortune triggers, blinking it and Spark Double. Choose to have Spark Double enter the battlefield as a copy of Avatar Kuruk.
- Repeat each turn.
This ingenious loop lets you seize infinite turns by continually resetting your ultimate magical engine. You start with The Legend of Kuruk already flipped into Avatar Kuruk, whose powerful Exhaust ability allows you to pay {20}—discounted by tapping your other artifacts and creatures—to take an extra turn. To pull this off repeatedly, Spark Double enters the battlefield copying Avatar Kuruk while safely ignoring the legendary rule, providing a fresh, un-exhausted copy with its own activation ready to go. Finally, Fortune, Loyal Steed steps in as the blinking catalyst; when Fortune attacks while saddled by Spark Double, its end-of-combat trigger exiles both cards and returns them to the battlefield, allowing Spark Double to re-enter as a brand-new Avatar Kuruk ready to repeat the entire process on your next turn.
