How it works

1. If you have more than three cards in hand, activate Harnfel by discarding a card.
2. Repeat step 1 until you have three or fewer cards in hand.
3. At the beginning of your end step, Doctor Octopus triggers, causing you to draw at least five cards.
4. Lyla triggers for each card drawn, putting that many +1/+1 counters on Sage of Hours.
5. Activate Sage of Hours by removing all +1/+1 counters from it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
6. Repeat each turn.

This ingenious engine transforms the natural rhythm of your turn into an endless loop by leveraging Doctor Octopus, Master Planner to refill your hand at the end step down to your expanded maximum hand size. As those cards are drawn, Lyla, Holographic Assistant triggers to distribute a cascade of +1/+1 counters directly onto Sage of Hours, while Birgi, God of Storytelling provides the crucial card-churning engine via Harnfel, Horn of Bounty to dig through your deck and manage your hand size beforehand. Once Sage of Hours accumulates enough counters, you simply cash them in to take an extra turn after this one, setting the stage to repeat the entire process indefinitely.
