How it works

1. Cast Dargo from the command zone by paying .
2. Birgi triggers, adding .
3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dargo.
4. Choose to return Dargo to the command zone from your graveyard.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Dargo's power.
6. Repeat.

This loop turns Dargo, the Shipwrecker into an endlessly recastable engine of destruction, fueled entirely by the mana-generating prowess of Birgi, God of Storytelling. Because Dargo inherently reduces its own cost based on previous sacrifices—and can return straight to the command zone rather than hitting the graveyard—you can recast it for a single red mana each time. Every iteration of this cycle triggers Birgi, God of Storytelling to refund that exact casting cost in red mana, letting you repeat the process indefinitely.
