How it works

  1. Cast Seething Anger with buyback by paying R mana. Birgi, Blood Funnel and Deekah trigger.
  2. Resolve the Birgi trigger, adding R mana.
  3. Resolve the Deekah trigger, creating a creature token.
  4. Resolve the Blood Funnel trigger, causing you to sacrifice the creature token.
  5. Resolve the Seething Anger spell.
  6. Repeat.

This potent storm engine relies on Blood Funnel and Memory Crystal working in tandem to completely eliminate the mana cost of Seething Anger, allowing you to cast it over and over for free. As you cast the instant spell, Birgi, God of Storytelling generates a steady stream of red mana while Deekah, Fractal Theorist turns each casting into an expanding Fractal token. That newly created token is then promptly sacrificed to satisfy Blood Funnel's mandatory sacrifice tax, safely fueling an endless loop of creature deaths and magecraft triggers.
