How it works

1. Cast Haze of Rage with buyback by paying . Birgi, Haze of Rage's storm ability, Blood Funnel and Deekah trigger.
2. Resolve the Birgi trigger, adding .
3. Resolve the Deekah trigger, creating a creature token.
4. Resolve the Blood Funnel trigger, causing you to sacrifice the creature token.
5. Resolve the Haze of Rage trigger, creating a copy of it for each spell cast before it this turn.
6. If you created copies of Haze of Rage this way, Deekah triggers for each copy, creating that many creature tokens.
7. Resolve all Haze of Rage spells.
8. Repeat.

This dizzying storm loop turns the humble Haze of Rage into an infinite-token engine by neatly bypassing its mana cost. Thanks to Memory Crystal reducing the buyback cost and Blood Funnel discounting noncreature spells by {2}, casting Haze of Rage with buyback essentially becomes free, allowing you to continually loop it back to your hand. As you cast and copy the spell, Deekah, Fractal Theorist generates an army of ever-growing Fractal tokens that are immediately fed to Blood Funnel's sacrifice tax, which in turn fuels Birgi, God of Storytelling's steady stream of red mana to keep the chain reaction alive.
