How it works

1. Activate Gemstone Array's first ability by paying 1, putting two charge counters on it.
2. Activate Gemstone Array's second ability by removing a charge counter from it, adding 1.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Gemstone Array into a mana-positive engine by using Power Artifact to slash the cost of its charge-counter ability down to just one generic mana. Normally, paying {1} to add a charge counter would just break even when you cash it back in, but Winding Constrictor steps in to break the math wide open by adding an extra counter every single time one is placed. Because the Constrictor supercharges your investment into two counters for the price of one, you are left with a surplus of charge counters and can effortlessly filter them into infinite colored mana of any type.
