How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Necrotic Ooze using Alaborn Veteran's ability by tapping it, giving it +2/+2 until end of turn.
2. Activate Necrotic Ooze using Barrenton Medic's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
3. Repeat.

By absorbing the buried traits of Alaborn Veteran and Barrenton Medic, Necrotic Ooze turns its own graveyard-dwelling toolbox into a self-contained engine. You tap the Ooze to pump its size using the Veteran's tactical boost, then reset it instantly by placing a -1/-1 counter on it via the Medic's untap ability. Because the +2/+2 buff outpaces the single -1/-1 counter, looping this sequence endlessly grows your commander or format staple into an infinitely large threat ready to swing for the win.
