How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Bloodsoaked Champion, adding .
2. Activate Bloodsoaked Champion by paying 1, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. Desecrated Tomb triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding 1.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a relentless warrior into a perpetual motion machine by feeding him directly to Phyrexian Altar for the black mana needed to fuel his own return. As Bloodsoaked Champion leaves the graveyard, Desecrated Tomb springs into action to generate a 1/1 black Bat creature token with flying every single time. You can then feed these summoned Bats right back into the Altar to generate the extra mana required to cover the rest of the recursion cost, leaving you with an endless cycle of sacrifice, death, and token generation.
