How it works

1. Activate Tortured Existence by paying and discarding a creature card, returning another creature card from your graveyard to your hand.
2. Desecrated Tomb triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing the creature token.
4. When the creature token dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
7. Repeat.

This elegant black-mana loop transforms Tortured Existence into an engine for endless recursion, using its activated ability to continuously swap creature cards between your hand and graveyard. Every time a creature card leaves your graveyard, Desecrated Tomb reacts by churning out a 1/1 Bat token to keep the cycle fed. You can then feed that fresh token to Umbral Collar Zealot, whose sacrifice ability triggers Pitiless Plunderer to forge a Treasure token in its wake. Crack that Treasure for the black mana needed to fuel Tortured Existence once more, and you've got a self-sustaining loop that generates infinite sacrifices, deaths, leaves-the-graveyard triggers, and surveils.
