How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Nether Traitor.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another creature.
3. When the creature dies, Nether Traitor triggers, causing you to pay to return Nether Traitor from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Kheru Goldkeeper and Desecrated Tomb triggers, creating a Treasure token and creature token.
5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Ashnod's Altar into a self-sustaining engine by leveraging the persistent shadow of Nether Traitor. Whenever a creature goes to the graveyard, Nether Traitor's triggered ability lets you bring it right back by paying black mana, a cost easily paid using the mana produced by Ashnod's Altar or the Treasure tokens generated by Kheru Goldkeeper. Meanwhile, Desecrated Tomb floods the board with flying Bats each time Nether Traitor leaves the graveyard, providing a steady stream of disposable bodies to feed back into Ashnod's Altar along with endless death and sacrifice triggers.
