How it works
- Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
- When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
- Desecrated Tomb triggers, creating two creature tokens.
- Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
- Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
- Repeat.
This clever loop starts by sacrificing Survey Mechan to Ashnod's Altar, generating mana while sending the Mechan straight to your graveyard. Thanks to Mortuary, that death immediately places Survey Mechan back on top of your library for easy recasting, while Desecrated Tomb triggers off the card leaving your graveyard to produce a Bat token. Queen Allenal of Ruadach then steps in to upgrade that token creation, turning your single Bat into a pair that can be fed right back into Ashnod's Altar to fund the next iteration.
