How it works

1. Activate Karn's first loyalty ability, causing Coveted Jewel to become an artifact creature until end of turn.
2. Cast Freed from the Real by paying 2, enchanting Coveted Jewel.
3. Activate Coveted Jewel by tapping it, adding .
4. Activate Freed from the Real by paying , untapping Coveted Jewel.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This loop turns a high-risk artifact into a private mana engine by cleverly manipulating its card type. Normally, Coveted Jewel rewards whoever attacks you with cards and control, but Karn, the Great Creator steps in to turn that liability into an artifact creature whose mana value safely sustains it. Once Freed from the Real is attached to your newly animated jewel, you can tap it for three mana and pay just one blue mana to untap it over and over again. The result is infinite colored mana, all locked down safely by Karn's passive ability preventing your opponents from activating pesky artifacts of their own.
