How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it.
2. When Blood Pet dies, Mortuary and Fleshtaker trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Fleshtaker trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and scry 1.
5. Cast Blood Pet from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Gwenom, Remorseless to turn the top of your library into your hand, letting you bypass mana costs with life payments so you can recast the creatures you sacrifice. Blood Pet starts the cycle by providing the initial black mana, while Mortuary neatly intercepts it upon death to tuck it straight back onto your library. Meanwhile, Fleshtaker provides the crucial sacrifice outlet that also smooths your draws with repeated scry triggers and buffers your life total to sustain Gwenom's casting costs.
