How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it, adding .
2. When Blood Pet dies, Pawn of Ulamog and Rakdos trigger.
3. Resolve the Pawn of Ulamog trigger, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
4. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, causing you to exile Blood Pet from the top of your library with the ability to play it until your next end step.
6. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
7. Cast Blood Pet from exile by paying 1.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a modest Blood Pet into an engine of endless rebirth, fueled by the relentless sacrifice demands of Rakdos, the Muscle. As Blood Pet is fed to its own mana ability, Pawn of Ulamog responds to the creature's death by churning out a colorless Eldrazi Spawn token, which provides the generic mana needed to recast Blood Pet from exile. Meanwhile, Rakdos triggers off the sacrifice to dig into your library, conveniently exiling Blood Pet just in time for Haunted Crossroads to slip it right back onto the top of your deck for the exile-and-cast cycle to begin anew.
