How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it, adding .
2. When Blood Pet dies, Mortuary and Rakdos trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, exiling the top two cards of your library, including Blood Pet, with the ability to cast them until your next turn.
5. Cast Blood Pet from exile by paying .
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop centers around Blood Pet and its ability to sacrifice itself for mana, which feeds directly into a closed-circuit engine. Mortuary acts as the glue of the combination, ensuring that whenever Blood Pet heads to the graveyard, it never stays there long—instead, it slides right back to the top of your library. Meanwhile, Rakdos, the Muscle watches these sacrifices happen and capitalizes on them, exiling the top cards of your library and granting you the freedom to cast Blood Pet right back out from exile using the very mana it just generated.
