How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it.
2. When Blood Pet dies, Mortuary and Syr Vondam trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Syr Vondam trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and putting a +1/+1 counter on Syr Vondam.
5. Cast Blood Pet from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever little loop turns a humble sacrifice into an endless engine by weaponizing the top of your library. When you activate Blood Pet for mana, Mortuary catches it on its way to the graveyard and neatly stacks it right back on top of your library. Meanwhile, Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar watches the creature die to grow larger and pad your life total, creating a vital life buffer for Gwenom, Remorseless to exploit. Once Gwenom's attack trigger lets you cast spells from the top of your library by paying life instead of mana, you can continuously recast the sacrificed Blood Pet for free, fueling an infinite storm count and endless death triggers.
