How it works

1. Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
2. When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
3. Play any land from your graveyard.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
5. Repeat.

This brilliant defensive lock centers around repeatedly playing and sacrificing Glacial Chasm to completely insulate you from harm while bypassing its punishing cumulative upkeep. Because Conduit of Worlds allows you to play lands straight from your graveyard, and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove ensures you always have an extra land drop available on each of your turns, you can effortlessly replay the sacrificed land right back onto the battlefield. Whenever the Chasm's upkeep forces a tough choice, you simply let it go to the graveyard and replay it, effectively resetting its age counters and bypassing the life payment entirely.
