How it works

1. Play Glacial Chasm either from your hand or from your graveyard.
2. When Glacial Chasm enters the battlefield, its second ability triggers, causing you to sacrifice another land you control.
3. Play any land from your graveyard.
4. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Glacial Chasm's cumulative upkeep ability triggers, allowing you to choose not to pay the cost and sacrifice it instead.
5. Repeat.

By leveraging Captain Kathryn Janeway to grant an additional land play per turn alongside the graveyard access from Walk-In Closet // Forgotten Cellar, you can repeatedly deploy Glacial Chasm without ever paying its mounting cumulative upkeep costs. Whenever you play Glacial Chasm, its enter-the-battlefield trigger forces you to sacrifice a land, but Walk-In Closet // Forgotten Cellar lets you immediately pull that same sacrificed land right back out of your graveyard and into play. Meanwhile, Captain Kathryn Janeway's entry trigger even lets your creatures explore to scout your deck while Glacial Chasm's static ability completely insulates you from all incoming damage.
