How it works

1. Declare Altaïr as an attacker, triggering its ability, creating two tapped and attacking copies of Éomer.
2. Put all but one Éomer token into your graveyard due to the legend rule, causing you to get at least one Éomer trigger, causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
3. At the end of your combat phase, Altaïr triggers, causing you to exile the Éomer token.
4. Repeat each combat phase.

This brilliant loop relies on Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad multiplying legendary assassins from your graveyard each combat, which is turbocharged by Exalted Sunborn doubling every single token you create into a massive army. When those extra copies of Éomer, Marshal of Rohan enter the battlefield, the legend rule immediately sends the extras to the graveyard, satisfying the condition for Éomer's own ability to untap your board and grant you an endless sequence of additional combat phases. Meanwhile, The Animus sits safely on the battlefield, ready to sculpt your graveyard or copy key threats if needed, ensuring your history-spanning crusade never runs out of steam.
