How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Famished Paladin using Shu Farmer's ability by tapping it, causing you to gain 1 life.
2. Famished Paladin triggers, untapping itself.
3. Repeat.

By combining Agatha's Soul Cauldron with Shu Farmer, you can feed the farmer's life-gaining activated ability directly into Famished Paladin, turning the vampire knight into a self-contained engine. Because Famished Paladin is normally held back by its inability to untap during your untap step, its native ability to untap whenever you gain life provides the perfect bypass for Shu Farmer's tap cost. This creates a closed loop of continuous life generation, yielding infinite lifegain and infinite lifegain triggers right in your precombat main phase.
