How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Descent into Avernus triggers.
2. Holding priority, activate Strionic Resonator by paying 2 and tapping it, copying Descent into Avernus' ability.
3. Resolve the copy of Descent into Avernus' ability, putting two descent counters on it, then causing each player to create a number of Treasure tokens equal to the number of descent counters on it, and then deal that much damage to each opponent.
4. Activate Clock of Omens by tapping two Treasures, untapping Strionic Resonator.
5. Activate two Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
6. Repeat from step 2.

This dazzling loop harnesses the escalating madness of Descent into Avernus by turning its upkeep trigger into an infinite engine, letting you copy the ability with Strionic Resonator to repeatedly generate treasures and deal damage. While Descent normally scales slowly and hurts everyone equally, Blessed Sanctuary steps in to shield you completely from the self-inflicted noncombat damage. Meanwhile, Clock of Omens provides the mechanical grease, using the newly minted Treasures to untap your resonator so you can keep the chain going indefinitely.
