How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing another nontoken creature without a -1/-1 counter on it.
2. When the creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Solemnity.
3. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the passive brilliance of Solemnity to completely shut down the drawback of the persist ability granted by Isilu, Carrier of Twilight (the nighttime face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn), allowing your creatures to return from the dead completely scot-free. By using Yahenni, Undying Partisan as your dedicated sac outlet, you can continuously feed creatures into the graveyard and trigger their return endlessly. Because Solemnity prevents -1/-1 counters from ever being placed, the persist loop never fizzles out, giving you an infinite engine for sacrifices and triggers.
