How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to Renata
3. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
4. Repeat

This clever loop turns Yahenni, Undying Partisan into a self-contained sacrifice engine by feeding on a persist creature whose fatal flaw is nullified right upon arrival. Renata, Called to the Hunt does the crucial heavy lifting here as a static pump, ensuring that whenever your persist creature crawls back from the graveyard, it drops with an extra +1/+1 counter that immediately cancels out any lingering -1/-1 counter it might have carried. By continuously sacrificing the creature to protect Yahenni, Undying Partisan with indestructible or simply to fuel the loop, you generate an endless cascade of entry, exit, and death triggers without ever running out of fodder.
