How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing the persist creature.
2. When the persist creature dies, it and Dragon Appeasement trigger.
3. Resolve the Dragon Appeasement trigger, causing you to draw a card.
4. Resolve the persist creature's trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
5. When the persist creature enters the battlefield, Olivia triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature and causing you to discard a card.
6. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Yahenni, Undying Partisan as a reliable outlet to repeatedly sacrifice a persist creature, turning every trip to the graveyard into card draw thanks to Dragon Appeasement, which graciously steps in to replace your normal draw step with a fresh card every time a sacrifice occurs. Meanwhile, Olivia, Mobilized for War is there to catch the persist creature every time it sneaks back onto the battlefield, letting you discard a card to hand it a +1/+1 counter that neatly cancels out its lingering -1/-1 counter. Because the persist creature's new counter resets its ability to return from the grave all over again, Yahenni can keep the sacrifice engine humming infinitely.
