How it works

1. Activate Yahenni by sacrificing Walking Archive.
2. When Walking Archive dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
3. Resolve the Yahenni ability.
4. Repeat.

This engine relies on the interplay between Yahenni, Undying Partisan and the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, which grants persist to all your other nontoken creatures. When you sacrifice Walking Archive to Yahenni's activation, the persist trigger brings it right back to the battlefield, and because Isilu's effect ensures it returns cleanly without lingering counters, the loop can continue indefinitely. Yahenni safely consumes the Archive over and over while growing larger, generating an endless stream of entries, leaves, deaths, and sacrifices to fuel any payoff you might desire.
